My name is Rob Vomund, owner of Vomund Photography & Web Design. I specialize in providing fine-art prints, assignment photography services, model home photography and website design services.

After graduating from Sacramento State, with degrees in business marketing and communications, I worked for a growing technology corporation, spending most of that time in varying marketing and marketing management positions. After 22 years with that company I left to focus on other things, including family, photography and website design.

I have been a photographer for 30 years. Prior to leaving my technology job, photography was a serious hobby. I now focus on it, along with my web design work, full-time.

What I do is not a "job." Rather, it is what I have always enjoyed doing, and what I choose to do. It is a true passion.

My Photography Strengths

I continuously strive to blend both a technical and creative approach to my photography. My fine art prints tend to focus a bit more on the creative side, while projects like photographing model home properties lean toward the technical side. However, I feel it is the blend of these two strengths that help me produce great images.

I am an expert with the camera. I am also an expert behind the keyboard and mouse. My technology background introduced me to computers early, and I have long excelled at using Photoshop and other imaging programs. Thus I am able to deliver more than just raw photos. Instead I can create images to meet exacting needs, and can even turn those images into websites, slide shows or printed marketing materials.

My Web Design Background

I became a "web evangelist" in 1994 when my former employer asked me to drive our company head first into the world of the Internet. Since then I have spoken at conferences to hundreds of small business owners about the Internet, and I have worked with a wide range of small business owners to help them implement website technologies.

As with my photography, I feel a blended approach is key. I have the technical skills to create and launch a website. But, my strong marketing and communications background also give me the skills to create content that achieves business goals.

Today, alongside photography, I specialize in designing and launching websites for small businesses. These websites extend the reach for these businesses, add a new professional "face" for the business, and provide around-the-clock information for customers. I can take your ideas and turn them into reality on the Internet, from start to finish.

One-One Focus

I focus on building one-to-one relationships. That is, I want to learn what you want, and help you get it. Be it a single photograph, a larger photography project, marketing collateral or a website. I don't treat any of these as a "job," but rather as a partnership.
