In June of 2007, Susan and I spent two weeks camping, sightseeing and capturing photographs in southern Oregon. The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is an amazing natural wonder, filled with miles of sand dunes. Unfortunately for those who want to enjoy the natural beauty, most of the dunes are open to off-road vehicles. This makes it less than enjoyable, and even a little dangerous, for hiking and photography.

Fortunately, there is one area of the dunes, in the Eel Creek area, where motorized vehicles are not allowed. Susan and I spent a couple hours in the evening hiking around this windswept area.

This photo features Susan sitting on the dunes, observing them and soaking in their beauty. We were all by ourselves out there, and the only sound was that of the gentle breeze.

In order to create the unique look I "clipped" Susan's image from the photo, converted it to black-and-white, then added in just a little warm orange color, creating the monotone look you see. I then added Susan back into the photo, in full color. Personally, I love the result.

Image Sizing: The length-to-width ratios vary for the different print sizes above. While most images can me made to fit most print sizes, there may be exceptions. If I feel that the printing ratio may cause issues with an image you have selected, I will notify you of that, before your order is processed.

Purchase Process: Once your order is confirmed I will email to you a PayPal invoice. PayPal accepts major credit cards in a very secure online format. Once PayPal notifies me that payment has been made I will send your image to the lab for printing and shipment.

Timing: Turn around time is generally one week between the time I receive payment to when you will receive your print. Add one extra week for hand signed prints. If you need your print sooner, please let me know. I will do my best to meet your needs. Occasionally I travel and may be unable to start your print order for one or two weeks. If this is the case you will be notified immediately after placing your print order. If the time delay is an issue you may cancel your order and you will not be charged.

Shipping Details: Small prints will ship USPS and larger ones will will be shipped via UPS ground, insured and trackable. Small prints will be shipped flat, while larger prints will be rolled and shipped in a tube.

California Residents: 7.25% sales tax will be added to the total of your order.

Guarantee: If your print is damaged when you receive it, I will replacement it. As I custom print images for each and every order, I can't offer a general return or exchange of your print.
