In January of 2008 Susan and I traveled to San Salvador Island in the Caribbean. San Salvador is believed to be where Christopher Columbus made his first landing in the New World in 1492. The island measures about 13 miles long and 5 miles wide. Today, fewer than 1,000 people live there. We stayed at the the only significant resort on the island, Club Med Columbus Isle.

The days were often breezy, but come sunset, things would settle down. During this hour most guests were in their rooms cleaning up from the day's adventures, and getting ready for dinner. The resort became suddenly peaceful, still and tranquil. That's when I would get out my camera and go in search of great images.

The photo above shows the swimming pool with it's glass-like water, the palm trees that line the beach as well as the Club Med main dinning room, seen on the left in the photo. At this moment the sky had a hint of purple from the sunset, and the reflections in the pool where clear.

For those interested in such things, this photo was taken with a 30 second exposure time, which helped to capture all of the wonderful colors in this scene.

Image Sizing: The length-to-width ratios vary for the different print sizes above. While most images can me made to fit most print sizes, there may be exceptions. If I feel that the printing ratio may cause issues with an image you have selected, I will notify you of that, before your order is processed.

Purchase Process: Once your order is confirmed I will email to you a PayPal invoice. PayPal accepts major credit cards in a very secure online format. Once PayPal notifies me that payment has been made I will send your image to the lab for printing and shipment.

Timing: Turn around time is generally one week between the time I receive payment to when you will receive your print. Add one extra week for hand signed prints. If you need your print sooner, please let me know. I will do my best to meet your needs. Occasionally I travel and may be unable to start your print order for one or two weeks. If this is the case you will be notified immediately after placing your print order. If the time delay is an issue you may cancel your order and you will not be charged.

Shipping Details: Small prints will ship USPS and larger ones will will be shipped via UPS ground, insured and trackable. Small prints will be shipped flat, while larger prints will be rolled and shipped in a tube.

California Residents: 7.25% sales tax will be added to the total of your order.

Guarantee: If your print is damaged when you receive it, I will replacement it. As I custom print images for each and every order, I can't offer a general return or exchange of your print.
